John Coltrane

A previously unreleased collection of music from the ‘classic quartet’, that is Coltrane’s most consistent working band. The foursome is Coltrane on tenor and soprano saxophone, McCoy Tyner on piano, Jimmy Garrison on bass, Elvin Jones on drums – they were responsible for what is considered by many to be John Coltrane’s greatest achievement the album A Love Supreme. The four men worked together in such a deep, symbiotic way that it led to the creation of some of Coltrane’s most monumental recordings.
